Member for Moore, Ian Goodenough is advocating for the realignment of Gnangara Road to Whitfords Avenue.
Wangara is the primary industrial area for Moore residents, home to more than 1,000 businesses and employing more than 8,000 local people.
“For more than 8,000 Moore locals, getting to work faster and safety is a priority” Mr Goodenough said.
“Unfortunately, without a direct connection between Whitfords Avenue and Gnangara Road, our central link to this precinct suffers from severe congestion and limits our local development potential”
Senator Ben Small said that it’s light industry businesses like those in Wangara that are fuelling the growth of Western Australia’s construction and mining sectors.
“A realigned Gnangara Road would open up Wangara to more than 60,000 vehicles a day, unlocking local businesses and economic development potential across the region.”
